At LPU Manila, the Counseling and Testing Center recognizes that the well-being of faculty and staff is just as important as that of students. When educators thrive, students thrive. Here are the wellness resources available to every member of the LPU community.
Mental Health Facilitation (MHF) Training An NBCC-certified program conducted in partnership with LPU’s HR Department. Staff and professors are trained in basic helping and referral skills — equipping them to recognize early signs of distress and connect colleagues and students to the right support.
One-on-one counseling CTC counselors are available to faculty and staff for personal or work-related concerns. Sessions can be held in-person at Room 110, Main Building, or via Microsoft Teams for tele-counseling
.Pre-employment psychological screening Conducted in coordination with the Human Resources Department for staff screening purposes, ensuring a psychologically healthy workplace from the start.
Seminars & wellness events Faculty and staff are invited to participate in CTC-led seminars, webinars, and mental health month activities held throughout the academic year.
Student referral support The CTC assists faculty in identifying and referring students who may need mental health support, using the FER framework as a guide.
Failing performance Sudden grade drops or inconsistent academic ability
Exclusion Signs of isolation or difficulty adjusting
Recurring conditions Reoccurring symptoms from a prior mental health diagnosis
